Unfortunately, two errors occurred when this paper was originally published in Journal of Molecular Endocrinology 36 175–186.

In the Introduction on page 176, a sentence was published as:

Alternatively, estrogen could also control SF-1 transcription as suggested in the red-eared slider turtle model (Fleming & Crews 2001), in which estradiol treatment was shown to produce SF-1 upregulation, although it was not proved that the effect was direct or indirect.

When it should have read:

Alternatively, estrogen could also control SF-1 transcription as suggested in the red-eared slider turtle model (Fleming & Crews 2001), in which estradiol treatment was shown to produce SF-1 downregulation, also it was not proved that the effect was direct or indirect.

In the Discussion on page 184, a sentence was published as:

In T. scripta, estrogen was also shown to modulate the regulation of SF-1 transcription since treatment with estradiol applied at a male-producing temperature resulted in upregulation of gonadal SF-1 and female hatching (Fleming & Crews, 2001).
